Plan of the Stamford Estate, Indooroopilly Railway Station, for sale by auction on the ground, on Saturday afternoon, November 10th, Indooroopilly, Brisbane, Queensland. The Estate map showed allotments to be sold by John H. Todd, auctioneer. The land was surveyed by Hamilton & Raff. The estate covers an area adjacent to Clarence Road, Belgrave Road, Grosvenor Road, Westminster Road and Indooroopilly Station Road (later known as Station Road). Ca. 1880-1900. Estate maps can give information about land subdivisions, including how the land was subdivided, when it was first auctioned, who the surveyors were and who sold the land. They are useful for investigating the history of urban land areas. They were also used as advertisements for land sales.
